Goodbye Gloria Goodbye!

The current controversy surrounding the Gloriagate CDs is a choice between morality and practicality.

The business sector has always been on the side of practicality. It seems that morality doesn't matter as long as the country's economy remains afloat. The likes of Bill Luz, Astro del Castillo, Donald Dee and the like have expressed the view that our country will go nowhere if the economy takes a beating. Thus, retain the status quo, retain Gloria.

I beg to disagree with the business sector. My view: What the country needs now is a leader who would inspire the citizenry. A leader who would lead by example and bring us to the promised land. The road would be difficult but if the people see that their leader is one with them in their suffering then everyone would strive and be more than willing to help in the upliftment of our nation.

Many outside forces now dictate on our economy. Our leaders may not even have control over economic factors such as fuel. The membership in the WTO has certainly not been good for us. With this in mind, with the economy not fully in our leader's control. the people have to tighten their belts more but forge on with their new leader towards a bright future for the next generation.

This, the present administration can no longer achieve. People will no longer follow. People are not willing to sacrifice for someone who only has her self interest in mind. People need to be inspired.

In this regard, I say GLORIA RESIGN!
