Big Mike, FG (Fiercesomely Greedy)

I had a terrible dream last night. It went like this:

President Gloria Macapagal-Arroyo announced that her husband, Mike, would go into voluntary self-exile to allow her to focus on the task of governance. Mike left for Hong Kong together with his son, Dato and his family last week. It was believed that they would continue on to the US after a brief stay in the former British colony.

Suprisingly, they returned to the Philippines last night.

Rumors have been circulating around the Metro that the trip to HK was just a business trip (monkey business I should say!). The various accounts either had to be transferred, closed, withdrawn or spirited away to some bank out in the world that would not be scrutinized by any money laundering prevention group. The fact that a very close in-law is an HSBC employee makes this arrangement very possible.

Text messages have been going around to the effect that the US won't give sanctuary to the First Family. Big Mike and his children are said to be flying to China instead and from there transfer to a yet unknown destination.

Such is life, there are so many ups and downs.

I say, do the best to serve your fellowman while you are up because they will surely not hesitate to help you when you are down. The present fate of the administration is truly unenviable. As my father described it, the President is like a mouse in a game during local carnivals or perya. The mouse is placed inside a box in the middle of a round spinning table with houses. Patrons bet as to which house the mouse will go into. The table is spun around and once it stops the mouse is released from the box. The difference between the President and the mouse is that in the President's case, the moment she approaches a house, the doors are suddenly closed.

The space is truly getting smaller. To get some breathing space, what was the quick fix solution?

Create more space for herself, therefore, get Big Mike out!

As Big Mike was booted out, my alarm clock went off and my dream ended.

Another exciting day beckons!
