Eto Na! Eto na?

The day started out with a bang! The economic team and other principled cabinet members gave a press conference at the Hyatt and demanded the President's resignation. What a back-breaker for the occupant in Malacañang. I guess she expected people to believe her statement the night before about asking her cabinet to tender their courtesy resignations. She really underestimates the intelligence of the FIlipino. I think she really believes that she is the only one who can lead this nation together with her cabal of looney toons.

The morning bang turned into a big explosion when the Liberal Party, Makati Business Club and former President Cory Aquino lent their voices to the clamor for immediate resignation.

The President is hanging on for dear life but it seems she will not go without a fight. She has recruited former President Fidel Ramos into her fold. Mr. Ramos would not be denied a few more moments of glory. He keeps on pushing his ususal win-win formulas which eventually will only benefit him in the end. Speaker De Venecia was his usual self, playing lapdog to the President's whims.

Latest news is that GMA plans to fly to Cebu tonight. The province, that together with Garci, guaranteed her 1M votes.

To preserve herself in power, GMA is really hell-bent on throwing the whole country into turmoil. What was once a war of social classes will now be a war of provinces and regions.

What kind of leader is this? She has no regard for the country. She does not care if we go into civil war as long as she gets her wish.

My mother's youngest sister, the late Bing Rodrigo, GMA's former classmate, former best friend and former correspondence secretary was right all along. GMA is a spoiled brat who will do anything to get what she wants at all costs. In Tita Bing's words, "Si Gloria masama ang ugali!"
